My friend’s son Nikita plays with the Bloomington (Indiana) High School North jazz band. They routinely place tops in national competitions. Here’s a clip from their graduation show that I shot on my iPhone. What really caught me off-guard is that they play their instruments, and understand how to play them well. Tone, and technique. No surprise then, that most of them are headed for music school.
