People Who Matter

contrariwise

A girl and her dog; dreams, disappointments, and a few crystal clear moments of grace. That’s Jess. My Tumblr crush and IRL, friend. Chances are you’ll like her, but only if you’re into redheads with minds of their own. Ask me one thing that stands out about Jess and I’ll say it’s she cares as much as she worries, which makes it easy for her friends to care about her, too.

Good Times 1991

Ken and I both escaped laboratories and have not been seen near one since. My father was best man at his father’s wedding, but we met when I was six years old. We didn’t see each other until I accidentally discovered he was also working in PR when I moved to Chicago 17 years later. Ken taught me how to spin quarters and recalling what a cool guy he was, is why I keep this in mind every time I’m with children. Kids look up to you; they remember, they do.

Life of Schoeny

Like me, Allan is a PR, except better at life. If that’s hard to believe, read his post on fatherhood. Allan is proof that who we are at home is also true at work, and it’s really the secret to his success. I also admire his delusions. Dream of dreams; every morning he wakes up believing the Detroit Red Wings are the greatest hockey team. I ought to sell him magic beans.

PBerntsen

One of the nicest guys you’ll never want to mess with. Ad rep by day, recently engaged (cheers), and MMA fighter. Chuck Liddell Jr. and I are running 200 miles from Madison, Wisconsin to Chicago together in 2013. He talked me into it. Although let’s be real, it really didn’t take much convincing.
